A little bird decided to build a nest in an empty trash bag box that was sitting on my grill. Whenever I go out in the back yard, the mama bird flies away. I just noticed today that the chicks were already hatched--a complete surprise given that I thought the bird had only made the nest within the last week--guess not!

Sometimes when I peek in, they [the chicks] open their mouths expecting to be fed!

Thankfully mama doesn't seem to be too bothered by me, and I've been making it a point to not go out the back door too often.
